Featuring the original works of Leon Sevier of Glendive, Montana.
Leon was born in Circle, Montana, in the "mid-twentieth century"
(now, there's
a good dodge...). Leon earned an AS degree from Dawson County Community College, then pursued and attained
a BS degree in Commerce and a Master's degree in Business Education from the Montana State University
in Bozeman, Montana. During his 28-year career as a Business Education Instructor at the Dawson County
High School in Glendive, Montana, Leon was introduced to leather tooling and stamping. He later developed
his skills working in wet formed leather jewelry. Leon designs and produces highly detailed and ornately carved and crafted items
made of leather, from exquisite jewelry to hand-tooled holsters, belts, book covers and embossed carved leather pictures.
