Featured Artist July 2009- Wolf Point, Montana Artist Gerald Simensen
Gerald was born in McCone County, Montana. Growing up he spent a year in Norway living with family
and found his artistic influence in two Uncles who were artists. Later in life he started developing his art in earnest after
attending some evening art classes in Wolf Point.
He enjoys painting landscapes, portraits and animals. His preferred mediums include oil,
acrylic and watercolor. The July 2009 Featured Artist show has many of his large format paintings, elegantly matted and framed. The viewer
will appreciate his excellent command of depth and perspective as they are drawn into his captivating landscapes of Montana plains,
mountains and badlands.

the MonDak 18th Juried Show (1994), Fort Peck College Spring Art Show (2008), the Wild Bunch Annual Art Show in Glasgow, Montana
